Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

LetsFix (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a mobile platform that connects customers with skilled artisans and service providers in Ghana. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the LetsFix app, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated through your use of the app:

• Account & profile: name, email address, phone number, password (stored securely by our authentication provider), user type (customer or service provider), and profile details.
• Service provider content: skills, services offered, pricing, working hours, service area, and uploaded photos such as portfolio images and certificates.
• Location: approximate or precise location (with your permission) to match customers with nearby providers and to show relevant services.
• Bookings & communications: booking requests and history, in-app messages, reviews and ratings, and support tickets.
• Financial & wallet data: wallet balance, top-ups, withdrawals, and transaction history. Card and mobile-money payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
• Device & usage data: device model, operating system, app version, identifiers, push-notification tokens, diagnostics and crash reports.

3. How we use your information

• Create and manage your account and profile.
• Match customers and providers and enable bookings and communication.
• Process wallet top-ups, payments and withdrawals, and maintain transaction records.
• Send booking updates, important notices and (where permitted) service messages.
• Provide customer support and resolve disputes.
• Protect the platform — detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse and security incidents.
• Improve app performance, reliability and features.
• Comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to operate the service:

Recipient	Purpose
Other users	Customers and providers see the profile and contact details needed to complete a booking.
Payment processor (Paystack)	To process card and mobile-money payments, top-ups and withdrawals securely.
Google Firebase	Authentication, database, file storage, push notifications, and crash/diagnostics reporting.
Email provider (Brevo)	To send transactional emails such as verification and account notices.
Legal & safety	To comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights and safety of users.

5. Data security

All data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/HTTPS. We apply access controls and server-side rules so that financial operations are authorised and verified on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

6. Data retention & account deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion at any time:

• In the app: Settings → Delete Account.
• By email: support@letsfix.com.gh.

When you request deletion, your account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted after 90 days (you can restore it within that window by signing in again). Certain financial and transaction records may be retained longer where required by accounting, tax and anti-fraud laws. Full details are on our Account Deletion page.

7. Your rights & choices

• Access, update or correct your profile information in the app.
• Control location and notification permissions in your device and app settings.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data (see Section 6).

8. Children

LetsFix is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
